Motherhood Strong is a fitness company designed specifically to help the prenatal mother prepare for
labor and delivery (whatever that should look like for her) while working to “prehab” her core and pelvic floor health, and for the postpartum mother to focus on
rehabilitating the core and pelvic floor health.
Our workouts use functional fitness with a focus on proper breath and pressure tendencies. We focus on core-to-extremity movements
with controlled breathing, which mirrors how our babies gain core strength and mobility as they grow!
Moms get the same physical benefits from the simple things that babies do like rolling over or learning
to get from the floor into a squat and then to standing. Motherhood Strong also makes individualized assessments of movement patterns, breath and pressure tendencies, and a mother’s personal fitness goals and weaknesses to help cater directly to the individual.
We also recognize issues like diastasis recti (the separating of abdominal muscles), pelvic pain, and
urinary incontinence and take this into consideration so a mother’s fitness becomes a conversation, not a “one size fits all.” All
of these issues are common during pregnancy and postpartum, but shouldn’t be “normal”. By using
our cores safely and efficiently, we can help alleviate these and other issues and symptoms.
Ultimately, our focus on the journey of pregnancy and postpartum along with Coach Joselyn’s training
allow us to safely help mothers workout during the motherhood journey!
