Ah finally an easy one right! Day 6: Relax
Our lives are filled to the brim….whether we work outside the home full time or part time, or we are a stay at home warrior, there is just a lot going on.
I’m really good at keeping busy, in fact I feel like I’m not doing it right if the calendar isn’t filled up. Even a Saturday Netflix binge day (this is pre-baby of course because who has time for that now), I also need to fold laundry, or do a project or even just play spider solitaire, because that counts as multi-tasking and therefore I am busy. So I guess I’m not very good at relaxing.
But we need it emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually. We need a reset button to clear away the stress each day. These moments may be small, but find them wherever you can. Mine are in the car, singing along to my music instead of wheels on the bus!
Life really can drain us though, so a quick reset won’t cut it forever, on a regular basis we need something that will really fill us back up. What is it for you? Do you need a hot bath or massage, a bottle of wine and favorite show, a yoga class or new book? Find what fills you up and get it on the calendar!
